Co-founder of AID Inclusive
Poornima Shukla
Parent advocate and inclusive technology builder working to improve communication, continuity of support and meaningful participation for families in the UAE and beyond.
About Poornima
Poornima Shukla is the co-founder of AID Inclusive, a platform created to help families find support, organise their child’s journey, communicate more effectively and participate more fully in their communities.
Based in Dubai, Poornima brings the perspective of a parent navigating education, therapy, communication and everyday inclusion. Her work is shaped by a simple belief: families should not have to search through disconnected systems or repeatedly rebuild their child’s story in order to receive appropriate support.
Through AID Inclusive, she is helping develop practical, family centred tools and connections across inclusive education, communication access, assistive technology and community participation. Current areas of work include the AID Inclusive Care Hub, AAC Communicator, Communication Partner Mode, Social Story Studio, service discovery and initiatives that connect families with schools, professionals and inclusive opportunities.
Poornima is particularly interested in how communication support can travel with a person across home, school and community settings. She advocates for solutions shaped with disabled people, AAC users, families, educators and professionals, not designed around assumptions about them.
Her role is not clinical. She contributes lived experience, community insight, product ideas and partnership building, and actively seeks collaboration with people who bring professional, technical, educational and institutional expertise.
